Plan the offcuts before you film
If you know the recording will produce a long-form video, a set of vertical clips and a handful of stills, small things change on the day: an extra angle, a clean pause before a strong sentence, a few seconds of silence at the top of a take. None of it costs time while filming and all of it saves time later.
One idea, several shapes
A single recording usually contains one strong argument and three or four smaller ones. The long-form video carries the argument. The clips carry the smaller ones. Nothing needs to be invented twice.
Stop starting from zero every time you publish.
The system is the output
Consistency is not discipline, it is arithmetic: how many finished pieces come out of each hour you spend in front of a camera. Raise that number and the schedule stops depending on how motivated you feel that week.
